Mike sells live feeder rats in five sizes. Each price below is for one rat, and the grams simply show how big each size is.

Why Live and Fresh
Live or frozen? Your call. Lots of snakes do fine on frozen, and if yours does, keep at it. But some snakes won't touch a frozen rat, and some keepers just don't want a freezer full of them. That's who Mike is here for.
His rats are bred in the Tucson area, so they never spend days in a shipping box. That means no shipping costs, no dry ice and no thawed surprises.

Feeder Rat Questions
What size rat should I feed my snake?
Many keepers aim for a rat that's about 10% of the snake's weight. A 1,000 g snake would take a rat around 100 g, which is a Medium. Not sure? Text Mike your snake's weight and he'll help you pick.
What's a Jumbo rat?
Jumbo rats are retired adult breeders, 375 g and up. Other sellers may call this size XXL or Colossal. They're for big snakes.
Can I get a better price on a big order?
Yes. Prices drop 10% at 10 or more, 20% at 25 or more, and 30% at 50 or more. For example, a Medium rat is $4.35 on its own and $3.05 each at 50 or more, plus Arizona sales tax.
Where can I buy feeder rats near me?
Mike sells in the Tucson area, including Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Northwest Tucson, Sahuarita, Vail and South Tucson. Call or text him and he'll set a time and place with you.
Do you have frozen rats?
No. Mike sells live feeder rats only for now. He doesn't sell pinkies or fuzzies, and his rat sizes start at Small.
Is live feeding safe for my snake?
Fair worry. A rat that's too big can hurt a snake. That's why each size lists how big it is, so you can match it to yours. Feed with care: pick the right size, stay and watch, and take out any rat your snake doesn't eat. And if your snake takes frozen, that's a fine choice too.
